Product Definition, Design and Development Services

NCS offers complete product design and definition services to help you develop the right appliance product. Our services include:

• Technology Analysis - NCS will help you define your hardware requirements based upon latest technological trends.

• System Design - We have in-house experts who will help you determine the optimum hardware configuration based upon the nature of your application software.

• Appliance Server Chassis Design - Apart from doing minor mechanical modifications to a Functional Reference Platform, NCS will also be able to design custom server appliance chassis that conform to your specifications with the exact look and feel you require to brand your products. We will fabricate metal chassis for you based on the design you approve.

• Design Analysis - NCS engineers will thoroughly evaluate the mechanical design of each custom chassis for its ability to accommodate the optimum layout of internal components. We will pay special attention to the airflow within the chassis to make sure that the complete assembled system meets all cooling requirements. Additionally, we will also analyze the design to make sure that it complies with your form-factor requirements.

• Quick Prototype Production - Once the drawings/configurations are verified, NCS will quickly build an initial prototype unit for you.

• Testing and Validation - Once the prototype is developed, the unit will be checked for design conformity before we send it to you for evaluation. NCS engineers will test the prototype for OS compatibility, chassis form-fit, and overall cooling abilities. This will ensure high quality of the product. Shortcomings found during this evaluation phase will be corrected. A new prototype will then be developed to incorporate all necessary corrections. Only when we are convinced that the prototype is flawless, we will provide it to you for further evaluation.

• Custom Packaging Design - NCS will design and fabricate custom internal packaging materials following your specific instructions. We will also design external packaging cartons bearing your company logo and color scheme to help you brand and differentiate your appliance.

• Certification Management - Depending upon your specific requirements, NCS will work with external test agencies to obtain any necessary regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, FCC, TUV, CE, NEBS) for your product.
