Production Control & Product Life-Cycle Management
In order to avoid configuration changes (unless absolutely necessary) and to
provide you with high-quality products, NCS offers the following services:
-
Configuration Control - Once you accept the prototype of your
appliances, we will put a "lock" on its configuration and assign it a unique
part number. This part number will translate to a set of fixed part numbers at
the component level. None of the parts can be substituted or changed without
your prior approval. We will also provide you with projected end-of-life
timeframes for each component. We will then monitor their life cycles and
immediately inform you of changes that may affect your appliance products. Any
changes to the product that need to be made will only be made after proper
communication between you and NCS. Changes in product will be effected through
Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
-
Firmware/Driver Revision control - All systems will be configured to
your specific BIOS and driver settings and will not be changed without your
approval.
-
Custom OS and Application Load - We will load the operating system and
application software in accordance with your specific instructions.
-
Hardware Test & Burn-In - NCS will perform diagnostic hardware
testing and a twenty-four hour burn-in on each appliance product.
-
Functional Test - NCS will test all your appliances for functionality.
We will work with you to develop the necessary functional test scripts,
parameters, and procedures. This will test the system under "close to real"
environmental conditions.
-
Product Serialization - For easy tracking, we will work with you to
develop a unique product serial numbering system for all your products.
-
Work Instructions - We will develop work instructions for all your
appliance products and train our employees to follow and execute them. Work
instructions are crucially important for us to build and deliver to you
products of consistent quality.
